Toni- I'm a newcomer, i just posted about the Reds and Yates of Fayette, Ms. Jefferson Co. don't know if there are still some of them in Jefferson Co. I Mentioned in my post that some of them had moved to several delta counties before 1900. I'm from Coahoma Co. but i now live in Rankin Co. near Jackson. Thanks for all you do, and i'm hoping someone knows these ancestors and some of the decendants. Wishing you a great week. And God bless.

Toni, You have done a great job with this site. I love that you have identified many of the former slaves' surnames. This should be a blessing to other Jefferson County researchers who are looking for their family history. Keep up the good work.

Blessings,
Linda Durr Rudd
